What are things that we should put on our cleaning to-do list? A thorough, cleaning to-do list should include enough to cover the basic cleaning of your home.
Here are a few of the general things it’s good to include on your cleaning to-do list.
A Basic Cleaning to Do List
*A Top to Bottom Bathroom Cleaning
This includes scrubbing and cleaning the showers, sinks, tubs, toilets, the countertops, and cupboard doors.
*Cleaning & Tidying Up the Kitchen
From wiping out the sink and wiping down everything from the countertops to the cupboard doors. Put the dishes in the dishwasher. Run the dishwasher. Empty the dishwasher. Sweep and mop the floors. Wipe down the oven, microwave, etc.
*Tidying Up Living Spaces
Make a point to tidy up any clutter or things that are left out. Straighten up pillows. Pick up socks. Take cups to the kitchen. Fold any blankets lying about.
*Dusting
Dust all of your living spaces thoroughly, working from the top to the bottom. Don’t forget all hard-surfaces such as side tables and the tops of picture frames. Be sure to vacuum or sweep the floors afterwards.
*Sweeping & Mopping
Finish up rooms that have tile or wood floors by sweeping them and mopping!
*Vacuuming
If a room has carpet, be sure to finish up the room by vacuuming it thoroughly after you’ve finished.
*Laundry
Try to wash, fold, and iron your laundry every week. Change and wash your sheets. Make a point to fold your laundry as soon as it comes from the dryer and then put it away. This prevents it from becoming stale and getting extra wrinkles from sitting in your basket.
Remember, these are just the basics. You can embellish your list as much as you’d like. You can add extra tasks to your routine such as dusting and wiping baseboards; washing the windows; dusting the tops of fan blades; cleaning out and wiping out the refrigerator; sweeping the garage; tidying up outside porches and Florida rooms, etc.
Thank you so much for providing such an informative post.
